"Detergent", in the meaning of the EC regulation no 648/2004 is any substance or preparation containing soaps and/or other surfactants intended for washing and cleaning processes. The Bureau has been notified to the European Commission as a competent authority responsible for communication and exchange of information with the European Commission on the functioning of this regulation .
